The Clock is Ticking—Are You Ready?

This isn't about crossing a finish line, winning a championship, or achieving another milestone. It's about something far more important—your heart.

Is your heart ready for the return of Jesus Christ?

Scripture reminds us repeatedly that Christ will return. The question isn't if He will come back, but when. Every passing day is another opportunity to draw closer to Him, to deepen your faith, and to live with eternity in view.

If you don’t believe in prophecies, here are a few facts. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament. To put this in perspective, as explained by mathematician Peter Stoner, it’d be like covering the entire state of Texas with silver dollars piled two feet deep, placing one painted silver dollar with a red “X”, and then blindfold a man to find that coin. It’s impossible. However, nothing is impossible for God—proven by Jesus fulfilling these prophecies.

Matthew 24:4-8

Jesus said:

“See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ’, and they will mislead many people. And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.”

Jesus wasn't trying to create fear.

He was preparing His followers to remain faithful.

Are you paying attention?

The pastor at my church shared a story. I have to mention—he doesn’t have a relationship with technology. As he was driving his daughter’s van, bells and whistles were ringing. All he could think of was finding a way to turn them off. Then there was silence—after he struck a wall.

Sometimes the warnings aren't meant to frighten us—they're meant to protect us.

In the last of the last days, deception will increase. This is evident with new age. It deceives you into believing the ‘universe’ will have your back. That you and only you are in control with the direction of your life. To keep you trapped in this illusion, you’ll see signs such as repetitive numbers, feathers, events of synchronicity, receiving a gift of one the four main Clair senses:

  • Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing): The ability to receive intuitive messages through mental images, symbols, or sudden flashes in your "mind's eye".

  • Clairaudience (Clear Hearing): Receiving intuitive insights as an inner voice, a sudden thought that "speaks" to you, or hearing external sounds (like a ringing in the ears or a specific lyric) linked to an intuitive nudge.

  • Clairsentience (Clear Feeling): Processing intuitive information through bodily sensations, gut feelings, or taking on the emotions of the people or environments around you.

  • Claircognizance (Clear Knowing): Having sudden downloads of information or absolute certainty about something without knowing exactly how or where you learned it.

As a previous new ager for six years, I had the gift of clairvoyance. I felt so blessed to have this gift but never questioned where it came from.

God gifts you with visions through the Holy Spirit to prophesy the future, which is based on truth, derived from a place that is holy. You need to be aware that gifts not given by the grace of God, is from the enemy, to deceive you.

Jesus said, ‘nation will rise against nation’. These events are unfolding today.

Other signs include an increase in natural disasters. Today, the forests in the province of Ontario are burning out of control. Alberta has had double the number of tornadoes and summer isn’t over.

We’ve experienced earthquakes, volcano eruptions and flooding. Like a woman in labour, these are birthing signs that overtime, will increase.

Do you feel it?

The hour is upon us and soon the clock will cease ticking.

Matthew 24:36-39

But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Further in Matthew, Jesus said:

Matthew 24:40-42

At that time there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

Are you prepared?

Each of us has seasons where you feel connected to God and then there are moments where you feel distanced from Him, which can harden your heart. The important fact to remember is God will never leave you.

Matthew 28:20

“I am with you always.”

He is with you in the storms and desert, but are you with Him?

This is a monitor on whether you’re living ready. As each day, your faith is the center. No matter how the day unfolds, you live to serve His glory.

Ask...

  • Am I walking closely with Christ?

  • Am I growing in prayer?

  • Am I rooted in Scripture?

  • Am I serving others?

If not, take action to...

  • Listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

  • Pray and serve others in need.

  • Worship the Lord.

  • Get rooted in the Word so you’re not deceived.

  • Pray and then pray some more.

  • Live each day as if it might be your last.

Remember, nothing is impossible for God. He can work in and around you to change your heart.

In my morning prayer time, the Lord said to me...

Praise and look to the sky. I AM there. Spend time with me my beloved. You are my bird song, my delight. Do not wonder. I AM here for you, forever yours. My blessings are upon you. Walk with me and I will hold you up. Like petals fallen...I will make you new.

The words that stayed with me were:

"I will make you new."

His gentle hand renews your heart to bring you closer to being prepared. To be excited with the news of His imminent return. To recognize signs and be motivated to embrace His love for you.

God also told me He is reaping His harvest. He’s gathering His flock around the world. Numbers are growing and people globally are being called to Him. It’s a time to sow seeds, build a foundation, so when the Lord comes, you’ll stand before Him and say, Lord, my heart is forever yours.

One of the greatest blessings in my walk with Christ has been learning to spend quiet time simply listening, asking questions, which I do when I use my Prayer Journal. A journal I created to build our relationship and grow closer to Him. It’s in this quiet time He speaks to me through words that sweep me away. He’s shown me the depths of His love and given me advice on areas I need to improve. It’s become a sacred and cherished memoir of my connection to the creator.

The Prayer Journal is available as a digital download at my ETSY Shop, at Archway Designs by CFC Studios.

Grab a copy today and print as many copies as you like.

I pray you prepare your heart; be ready to receive Him.

Matthew 24:42

Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day the Lord is coming.

Begin today.

  • Open God's Word.

  • Join a Bible study.

  • Keep a prayer journal.

  • Spend time with Jesus.

When the Lord returns, may our greatest joy not be that we knew about the signs—but that we truly knew Him.

Heavenly Father,

Create in me a heart that longs for You above everything else. Keep me rooted in Your Word, sensitive to Your Holy Spirit, and steadfast in my faith. Guard me from deception and help me live each day with eternity in view. Thank You for Your promise that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Continue to renew my heart and prepare me for the day I see You face to face.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

God Bless,

I’m a mixed blend, excited to share all I offer...

Blog-Twisted Roots

Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?

As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of the word of God and how He perceives new age indoctrination.

Moreover, it’s written to inspire and encourage Christians in their walk of faith.

Prayer Journals

To help you in your faith journey, I created Prayer Journals, to build a closer bond with Christ Jesus.

As you grow, it’s important to dedicate time to be with God in prayer, a quiet space to meet with Him, and invite Him into your daily thoughts. In doing so, you will experience His peace and presence in every aspect of your life.

Nature and Fine Art Photography

I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal. When the opportunity presented itself, I knew it was time to fulfill my dream.

I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or fine art available for wall décor.
