Do You Believe in Miracles Amidst Chaos

Do you ever think, “what’s the world coming to?”

When you think of all the natural disasters, wars, political corruption, terrorists, I’m sure you’ve asked the question, “what’s happening in our world?”

I’ve asked both these questions many times, shake my head, and then continue my day, desensitized from daily stories in the media.

However, my perspective has since changed and is more aligned with ‘what happens in our world when you live without God.”

When you consider today’s culture, you wonder if there are consequences to not listening to the word of God or following His commandments and, hence, choosing desires of the flesh. Moreover, believing you’re in control of your life, that you have the power to change your circumstances, and God only exists when it’s convenient—praying for a loved one who is ill, or praying for relief from the curve balls of life.

We’ve become so conformed to the ways of the world that it’s blinded us from what really matters—a loving relationship with our creator.

As a former new ager, I believed I had a relationship with the creator, ‘the universe’, and was walking a spiritual path. I believed I was guided by angels, received healing through crystals, affirmations, meditations, and the universe was my guiding light. I never felt so broken. Now saved by Christ Jesus, I no longer feel broken. I feel renewed.

If it wasn’t for Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for our sins, I often wonder... how many times would God have destroyed the world with natural disasters other than rain, as we’ve become Sodom and Gomorra on a vast scale. But God is patient and loving; however, He also stands for justice, as He despises evil. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorra. He wiped away all creation with 40 days and nights of torrential rain to start anew.

Yet, despite our sinful nature, God desires to love you. He wants nothing more than to see you rejoice in gratitude from abundance he patiently awaits to pour down on you through His son, Jesus Christ.

It’s never too late to open your heart to receive God’s love. Millions have been saved. Millions have seen miracles.

One that comes to mind is the true story of John Smith. He fell through the ice while playing on Lake St. Louise. He was under the ice for 15 minutes before pulled out from rescue forces. He was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West, where after 45 minutes of CPR resuscitation, doctors were ready to pronounce him dead. They allowed the mother, Joyce, to say her goodbyes.

With a heartfelt cry she prayed for the Holy Spirit to breathe life back into her son, and suddenly his heart began to beat. This was witnessed by medical staff who tried their utmost to revive him.

Today, John lives a normal life and is planning a career in ministry. A true miracle.

Joyce wrote a novel on the experience which was made into a movie titled, “Breakthrough,” and is an inspirational story on the power of God’s miracles that happen, despite our sins.

Since I began my walk in Christianity in June of this year, I’ve witnessed God’s work in my life.

My marriage has been a challenge with a spouse who is often controlling and verbally abusive. However, as I started to pray for him and peace in my home, he’s become thoughtful, and I’ve experienced weeks without verbal abuse, which seldom occurs.

As my spouse works in the oil and gas industry, work has been sporadic. He hadn’t worked for ten months, and funds were waning. I prayed for work and within days he received a call for a short-term project, enough to manage the Christmas season, with more work in the new year.

Our beautiful cat, Sammy, had a large tumour. After the surgery she was black, purple, blue, and yellow, as the tumour removed was close to the size of a golf ball. I prayed for a quick recovery and within three days, she was happily playing and eating. The veterinarian technician was shocked.

Take Jordyn Martin, raised in a Christian home. She walked away from an accident where she should’ve been killed.

She’d made a left hand turn in an intersection where three other cars and two semis were ahead of her. The semis had slowed down and were turning in the opposite direction. She assumed it was safe to proceed and as she turned, she realized the second semi had blocked her from seeing a third semi.

The semi struck her at 100+ km/h in that instant. But with quick prowess, the driver swerved at the last second taking out her front end and then hitting the ditch. Jordyn’s vehicle flipped completely around.

With widened eyes, witnesses saw Jordyn jump out of her demolished vehicle. They believed she was a goner as no one could’ve survived such an impact.

Jordyn’s only injury was a scratch on her hand.

Witnesses told her mother, Shannon, her daughter was a walking miracle.

Miracles happen despite our thoughts of what the world is coming to.

God is ever present waiting with eager anticipation for you to witness and experience miracles in your life.

However, you can’t meet God halfway. To be healed and blessed with his forgiveness, you need to give your whole heart to God by asking for forgiveness of your sins, repent, and openly surrender your life to Christ Jesus. When you do, He will speak to you, provide for you, protect, and heal you. All you need to do is ask and wait for the miracle to happen.

When you repent and sacrifice your life into the hands of Jesus Christ, the angels rejoice.

It all depends on you if you want to receive this precious gift, allow miracles to happen amidst the chaos in the world or perhaps your personal life.

If you long for peace, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light that is available to anyone who asks.

Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?

As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination.

Fine Art Photography

I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal, but I did it!

I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or nature available for wall décor.
