Do You Believe You’re Beautiful?
Do you avoid mirrors, as you don’t want to look at yourself?
Do you cast aside comments from others who say you look beautiful?
Are you envious of others who are beautiful?
It’s easy to compare yourself to others, especially when you’re surrounded by beautiful influencers and Hollywood glamour. However, this cliché’ is so true, “beauty is only skin deep.”
You may have a beautiful face; however, it’s who you are in the inside that matters. To be genuine, guided by your heart—a heart created by God.
Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inner parts. You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made.
Let these words, “awesomely and wonderfully made,” sink in.
You are awesome.
You are wonderfully made.
In the eyes of God, you’re beautiful.
The Lord told me:
“Embrace the beauty of my Father’s creation, ‘you’.
You are a wonder in His eyes.
The apple of His eye.
His love never ends.”
Solomon 4:1-4
“How beautiful you are, my darling, How beautiful you are! Your eyes are like doves behind your veil.”
“Your lips are like a scarlet thread, And your mouth is beautiful.”
Solomon 2:4
“He has brought me to his banquet hall, and His banner over me is love.”
You are God’s Bride.
God sees the beauty in your heart, and He loves you.
He doesn’t care if you awaken with streaks of mascara on your cheek, hair tangled in knots from a restless sleep or wearing clothes stained from your one-year-old, who used mashed potatoes as a tennis ball. To God, you are beautiful.
It’s three simple words—
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
Yet to say and believe in the words is difficult for many.
Why?
You only see flaws.
Guilt from bad decisions.
Believing your messed up and unworthy.
These perceptions build a foundation, stone by stone, squashing glimpses in believing you’re so much more.
However, what you think is impossible is possible with God.
He can wipe clean with a single breath your mountain of false beliefs.
All God cares about is your heart, as that is where your true beauty resides. It may be hidden under layers of misleading conceptions, but it’s there, ready to bloom and flourish. Like the petals of a flower—giving birth to creative emotion. Perfected, and beautiful in the eyes of God.
Love is written in your heart—poured out from the center of who you are in Jesus Christ.
It’s in...
Your HEARTBEAT
Your RHYTHM
Your LIFE
God doesn’t want you to lose sight of your dreams, as that is where your true potential resides.
He sees you as a masterpiece.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
What is a masterpiece?
A work of art that exemplifies the artist’s soul, skill, technique and vision that takes your breath away. A piece that is original and can’t be duplicated.
That is who you are to God.
Original.
Unique.
Significant.
Priceless.
A creation with potential and capabilities you’re not aware—talents, skills, hidden ready to burst open and explore.
The diamond in the rough, ready to brilliantly shine the light of the one who created you, as He knows your purpose. It’s not to flounder and believe you can’t fly; however, it’s also not to act in vain.
I watched the movie, “The Dressmaker,” with Kate Winslet. She made beautiful, tailored dresses that brought out the beauty in women, increased their confidence, and transformed their appearance. But they didn’t appreciate what she did for them. They betrayed her at the first glance of gossip.
Like God, He transforms your heart. You’ll feel different—hungry for the word, a desire to help others, and clean. Like all the yuck that held you back is washed away. However, if you ignore this precious gift, your heart will harden, and His light will fade. He’ll be with you, but your connection will be buried under layers, as you change to focus on your desires or disbeliefs instead of God’s will.
In truth, your beauty surpasses limited beliefs in His eyes.
To God, you are a precious stone, dancing lights on a still lake at dawn, in the scent of rose petals. He caresses you with a gentle breeze. Aches for you to invite Him in so He can hold and whisper the words, “you are beautiful. You are loved.”
Today, take the bold step. Look at yourself in the mirror and whisper...
I am beautiful in the eyes of God.
Ask...
God, can I carry your love today, so I can see what you see—a beautiful creation.
God Bless,

Blog-Twisted Roots
Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?
As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of the word of God and how He perceives new age indoctrination.
Moreover, it’s written to inspire and encourage Christians in their walk of faith.
Prayer Journals
To help you in your faith journey, I created Prayer Journals, to build a closer bond with Christ Jesus.
As you grow, it’s important to dedicate time to be with God in prayer, a quiet space to meet with Him, and invite Him into your daily thoughts. In doing so, you will experience His peace and presence in every aspect of your life.
Nature and Fine Art Photography
I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal. When the opportunity presented itself, I knew it was time to fulfill my dream.
I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or fine art available for wall décor.
