Bridge Over Calmed Waters

When you live in the prairies, occasionally, you get an urge to drive to the mountains and be a part of a different world.

The drive is only 3 hours from where I live, and then you enter the Rockies of Banff National Park, but before you reach Banff, is the Kananaskis Valley. This is one of my favorite drives next to the Icefields Parkway that leads to Jasper National Park. Both drives you’re surrounded by majestic mountain peaks that take your breath away.

For this image, we travelled to Kananaskis and pulled off to one of many secluded spots where you can camp for the night or stay for the day.

It was a beautiful day, strolling through paths, embracing the scenery.

There was a slight breeze where you could taste the mountain air and scent of evergreens.

I captured this shot with my 35mm-80mm zoom lens. This lens never fails to allow me to compose a shot I love.
