Ghosts in the Mist

from CA$44.00

Hi there!

I’m Cathy Corbett, a 13+ year professional photographer, who now specializes in landscape and fine art. I used to have a home-based photo studio for family and wedding portraiture but changed gears to scenery where I can take time to enjoy, explore, and be inspired on what to shoot.

In the on start of my photography career, I was fascinated with the ribbon effect on waterfalls and streams but had no idea how to do it. I recall practicing with different settings but wasn’t successful in capturing what I envisioned and, in the end, became frustrated.

So, I searched for photography conferences and found one in Nova Scotia. A province I always dreamed of visiting. We travelled Cape Breton and toured along the Cabot Trail, and it was during this 5-day trip, I learned the technique of creating the soft ribbony imagery of moving water.

It opened a new door to experiment with elements I find inviting.

But what’s intriguing about this image is the different shapes behind the water veil that gives the appearance of ghostly figures, so I titled this image, “Ghosts in the Mist”.
