Do You Believe in End Times?

Fallen debris from buildings scattered the street. The light blocked from darkened clouds created an eerie stillness in the air. A silvery haired woman sat staring out with empty eyes, her broken body hidden behind tattered clothes soiled from nights sleeping on the dirt trodden ground. She was one of the forgotten. Left behind wondering the streets in hopeless despair. Her heart ached with remorse and regret. She knew her choice but chose to live her life the way she wanted, believing when this day arrived, she’d have the chance for retribution. But will He come? Will He send His angels that now owned the earth. The growling pain in her stomach a reminder of her life slipping away. All she had to do was utter His name, but she wasn’t worthy. She made her choice. Why would He come and save her? Then a light broke through the darkened clouds. She covered her eyes as the light enveloped the streets, blinding her vision. Was it Him, she pondered.

A figure approached in a pure white robe with a golden sash. She cowered before Him, filled with shame and begged for mercy. The man gently lifted her chin, so her eyes met His gaze. His touch spread through her like a warm blanket of hope. She flitted her eyelids before she opened them, and was filled with peace, as she gazed into His eyes. He’d forgiven her. She rose with Him, as He took her hand and together, they walked into the light.

This was a vision I had in my younger years. Aware in the end, I’d be given a chance at redemption, as Jesus is loving, compassionate and forgives those who call upon His name with truth in their heart. I relied on this vision to justify my choice to not follow him, believing He’d come and save me when all was lost. Then I could live life the way I chose knowing I had this “go to” card where I could still be saved from the fire. However, Jesus sees the truth in your heart. If you don’t commit to Him with your whole heart, will He hear your plea if you only seek Him to save yourself. This is all circumstantial, of course, on whether you believe in End Times. An end with contractions of war, natural disasters, and corruption. You may turn the other cheek rather than accept something written in a book as truth. Remain consistent to your daily routine with the belief life will carry on like it has for centuries.

However, scripture is truth, and this is what Jesus says about end times:

Matthew 24:4-44

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

“So, when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.

“So, if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

“Immediately after the distress of those days...

“‘the sun will be darkened,

    and the moon will not give its light;

the stars will fall from the sky,

and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that its near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The Day and Hour Unknown

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

“Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

His return can happen when you least expect it. You can be shopping for groceries, having coffee with a friend, enjoying a walk in nature, busy at work. Even the Son of Man doesn’t know when He’ll return, only what will happen beforehand.

Christians with the gift of prophecy and visions continuously post messages pertaining to end times. This one, I copied to share with you:

The writer encountered this dream in October 2023:

“It was a normal day; I was walking with a friend to get an iced coffee. When we reached Dunkin’ Donuts, the sky darkened, stars appeared, and a portal opened with planets moving into it. A huge angel appeared, and when my friend asked what it was, I responded, “St...Michael.” The angel spoke in a deep voice, saying, “Jesus is coming,” before vanishing. The sky returned to daylight, though it was misty, and then a line of horses appeared on the main avenue, moving quickly. When they finally stopped, I saw a carriage with Jesus sitting in the back.

There was a force field separating people, and a line formed where I stood. People kept saying, “Jesus, Jesus,” and I was overwhelmed with tears and a deep sense of questioning—“Am I good enough?” “Did I do enough good?” “Did I love enough?” “Was I kind enough?” When I finally met Jesus face to face, I broke down in tears, apologizing and asking for forgiveness. He looked at me with the most beautiful eyes and gave a gentle smile before gesturing for me to enter the carriage, and then I woke up in tears.”

What attracted me to this post was the questions whether she lived a righteous life in the eyes of Christ Jesus and the tears asking for forgiveness, as when you stand before Him, your sins will rise like an ocean wave of guilt and remorse. Each person who has encountered Him, has burst into tears, as for the first time, you recognize the depth of your sins.

Is it a coincidence that others are having visions of His return and sharing on social media. I know, many scoff at the idea. Trusting only what they see and choosing alternate methods to elevate their life when they’re in need. Many get enticed by spiritual coaches, witches that promise to:

  • awaken the divine magic within

  • unlock the mysteries that dance within the shadows and the light

  • come into communion with the holy wisdom and blessings of the natural world

  • forge a path home to a sacred world

However, Jesus is never part of the solution. And if He isn’t, who are you awakening? What mysteries are you unlocking? What holy wisdom are you gaining and from where? And what is this sacred world if Jesus isn’t in it?

To continue my stance in not giving my life to Jesus, I followed these practices believing I was living a spiritual life. But I was deceived. This practice led me to a dark place. However, it also led me to seek Jesus for help, which I am forever grateful.

Without this experience, I’d still be practicing new age and placing Jesus on the back burner, relying on my vision to be saved when the time comes.

We live in an era where the signs of end times are evident. You can choose to ignore them but the time for Jesus’s return is brewing. And it may happen in your lifetime.

However, it’s in you to believe or turn the other cheek.

God Bless

Blog-Twisted Roots

Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?

As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination.

Fine Art Photography

I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal, but I did it!

I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or nature available for wall décor.
