Do you believe in the Bible?
Did you know there were 66 books of the New Testament written over a period of 1,500 years by 40 different authors, 3 different languages and generations.
Some of these writers were Kings, soldiers, prisoners, military men, farmers, shepherds, one was a physician, and another was a tax collector.
Yet, when the books were placed together, they made sense. They harmonized. It was like the authors were in the same room at the same time and asked to write the same topic. Even then, having the material the same with minor variations, is difficult.
Think about a rumour. You tell one person a story, they tell another. By the time the story reaches the tenth person, the story isn’t even close to the original. It’s like a child’s game I used to play at sleepovers. You whisper a short sentence to the person next to you, they share with the next and the last person is to repeat it. I recall my friends and I having tears of laughter as the sentence was so stretched from the original.
Yet, these 40 authors, from different countries, generations, unaware of each other, created content that relayed the same message. There was no internet to help them. No option for zoom meetings. Yet, the content was authentic and in alignment with each book.
Take the Old Testament. There were 39 books written over 1,100 years with the last book written 400 years before Jesus was born.
In these books, 300 prophesies were made about Jesus, and Jesus fulfilled them all.
To put this in perspective, no human being in one lifetime could accomplish this. To prove this, the late Dr. Peter Stone, an expert in mathematical probability, asked 600 science students from 12 different classes to study the probability of fulfilling 8 of the 300 predictions from the time of Christ to the end of the second millennium.
In Dr. Stone’s conclusion, he quoted:
To clarify—if this total was in the form of silver coins it’d cover the entire state of Texas 2 feet deep. To fulfill the predictions, the guy would need to walk over this heap of coins and succeed in finding the one marked coin.
Moreover, the written word is more than words on a page. Jesus said in John 7:37-39...
When you read and learn the gospel, one, you realize it’s not written by man. As humans, we don’t have the ability to create content that convicts our sinful nature and then with heartfelt passion, a desire to repent, followed by a spiritual change that alters your life. Additionally, as you read, learn, and understand, the word changes you, it mends your heart. You become joyful, forgiving, compassionate, slow to rise to anger, temptations cease. In summary, you become a work in progress that Jesus uses to enlighten others to the truth and binds you to a relationship with a loving Father, who has given so much for us to be saved.
The other question you may ask, if you’re in doubt, was Jesus the Son of Man. Interestingly, in the New Testament, Jesus makes numerous references in his teachings where he says “I”...I am the bread of life. I am the way, the truth, and the life. I and the Father are one.
What would compel Jesus to say this and believe it? There are two possibilities...
1. He was delusional; or
2. He was and is the Son of God.
If Jesus’ words were delusional, then how do you explain the billions of people whose lives have been transformed by reading and believing in scripture? How do you explain miracles of people being healed? Living your life one way—resentful, angry, ridden with addictions, and then suddenly change to a person of peace. Some might say it’s the power of the mind, but I disagree. It’s the power of your heart. When you encounter Jesus, he wipes the slate clean. He washes away your sins and you are reborn into the light of Christ. Your heart becomes the container of His love for you, and all is forgiven. Your step becomes lighter, and your heart is renewed with a determination to learn more about Him. Moreover, you want to shout from the rooftops, this amazing revelation in being saved from darkness and raised up into the light.
In this generation, we have more resources available to learn about Jesus, our Father in Heaven, and yet, most of us are godless. We’re so addicted to being independent, making our own choices and living the life we dream of living.
What has been gained by this mindset?
The world is more corrupt than ever.
We have new age indoctrination leading people away from God and believing the universe is the answer to all things, gender ideology infiltrating the minds of innocents being taught in schools, government leaders not being held accountable for their criminal actions, more people homeless due to high costs of living and few job prospects, and horrific acts of war.
But Jesus didn’t come for the righteous, He came for sinners.
He loves to forgive sin. When you repent, angels rejoice....
Luke 15:10
Jesus said, "I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
When you remain focused on Him, the corruption of the world doesn’t beat you up as the direction of your life is renewed. You’re filled with a new purpose, aware that a loving Father and His Son, Jesus, are with you always, as nothing can tear you apart from their love.
Believing in the written word is a personal choice. What I can tell you, it will change your life to a life of peace. A life where you build a personal relationship with Jesus who died for our sins because of how much He loves you.
However, only your heart can answer the questions if the Bible is true, and Jesus is the Son of God.

Hi, I’m Cathy.
A blogger, photographer, author, pointing people away from new age indoctrination to find redemption in Jesus Christ.
I’m a mixed blend, excited to share all I offer...
Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?
As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination.
Fine Art Photography
I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal, but I did it!
I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or nature available for wall décor.
