How we Judge others…

There are many ways.

For example, you’re running late and waiting in line to get your favorite coffee, as you know without it, you’ll be grumpy. But another customer arrived seconds before you and is ordering coffees for all her co-workers. Anger begins to build as your glare at this person, judging her because you’ll be late for work. Or you’re driving, and someone cuts you off. You curse, road rage takes over as you hunt the person down so you can give them a piece of your mind.

We judge the appearance of others, how they conduct themselves in public or at work, their opinions and social status. It can blind us to perform outside of who are to feel validated and accepted.

Take Kim. She’s a business owner opening a women’s boutique, but her goal is to have the cream of the crop as her customers. She gets involved in socialite clubs and invites them for cocktails and appetizers to introduce her boutique. But she doesn’t want her guests to know she’s not a member of the club. She barely has enough money to open her boutique or host a cocktail party. However, making an impression was important.

With her husband, Ted’s support, they built a makeshift table as they didn’t have a large table to place the food and drinks on. Kim covered the table with a lacey tablecloth, placed the punch in a crystal bowl she received from her mother, and happily went about preparing the hors d'oeuvres, when she heard a loud crash. Their cat, Tiny, decided to use the lacey tablecloth as a scratch pad. The bowl crashed onto the floor. It didn’t break but the punch was splattered on the floor in puddles. The guests were arriving soon and they’d no money to purchase more ingredients, so they soaked up the punch with a clean mop and squeezed it back into the bowl. (This is a true story) Her fear of being judged succeeded with pretending to be someone she wasn’t.

We judge to feel accepted and superior, so we don’t feel rejected.

As a former new ager, I took a course on learning how to overcome judgement towards others. The course had exercises on the root cause on why we judge, the desire to feel accepted, all based on beliefs passed down from family, or friends, but also from comparing yourself to others and desiring a better life.

Exercises to heal included a Chinese practice called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) where you tap, talk about an issue, on energy points known as circuit meridians, for the purpose to restore negative emotion disrupting the body’s energy system. The other form of healing was forgiveness and prayers to your higher self, known as the voice of love and wisdom, and gratitude for the willingness to work with your intuitive self to find healing.

These modalities lead you to believe your higher self is the voice and guide of reason and EFT will heal your nervous system and unresolved emotional issues.

When we’re searching for remedies to heal and bring joy, peace, and happiness into our life, this can appear as an attractive solution.

I searched numerous remedies as a new ager, to heal the trauma and judgement in my life, and it led me to believe these methods would save me from the pain and suffering in my life.

But it didn’t.

In truth, we have no authority to judge anyone and these methods, will not solve the problem. I’ve tried them all.

The only way I found healing and salvation, was through Jesus Christ. Not my higher intuitive self, or EFT, but through the grace and conviction of the Holy Spirit.

My higher self is not the light that guides me...

Only the Son of Man has authority to judge our actions, beliefs, and thoughts...

EFT is not the solution to heal emotional trauma...

Humanity is riddled with people searching for answers to their problems or finding a quick fix.

I was one of them.

New age offered a spiritual solution that didn’t involve Jesus Christ, which I found enlightening. I judged organized religion and wanted nothing to do with it. But this path led me further down the rabbit hole of depression and darkness.

There is only way to be healed and saved...

I no longer feel the need to search for answers as I have been saved by Jesus.

God gave us the gift of life so we may learn to love him and be grateful for all he has given to us. But in a second it can be taken away.

It’s written in scripture that very few will make it into the Kingdom of Heaven. I pray this will change by people waking up to spiritual practices that take you away from God. It is further written that Satan has temporary rule over the world, and his intention is to deceive you and blind you from the truth.

There are millions involved in new age culture, and it’s growing globally. Don’t be fooled into believing it will save you, as it won’t.

In God’s eyes....

When I read this scripture, I was overwhelmed with guilt and shame for new age is a practice in divination. I had a medium I invested in more than once, as well as spiritual coaches. I used oracle cards to predict my future. This truth was like an arrow piercing my heart, awakening me to the truth of how I was deceived.

You can choose to believe or not, as God gave you free will. The question to ask—what choice will you make to save your soul?

Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?

As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination.

Fine Art Photography

I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal, but I did it! I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or nature available for wall décor.
