Twisted Beliefs & the New Age Culture

In the new age culture, followers believe they can ascend to the level of Christ light or Christ consciousness, placing themselves equal to the light of Christ. They believe he’s an ascended master and compare him as an equal with Buddha, St. Francis, St. Germaine, and even The Mother Mary, to name a few, believing their only role is to increase their spiritual awareness and co-create with the universe.

There are books written where ascended masters live many lifetimes, and with each life spiritually transform. This is the goal of a new ager, to ascend, be a light walker, and Christ like.

In truth, this belief leads to a path of being deceived and, sadly, people fall for it. They receive proof in signs, with their manifestations, either written as intentions, or laid out on a vision board, or use affirmations to make it real. Spiritual coaches / teachers lay out practices to achieve this outcome backed with their success stories.

The new age culture also believes in a blueprint of the soul, designed before we were born. This blueprint is a map of events and occurrences a new ager will encounter on earth to evolve to a higher level of consciousness.

I always struggled with the concept of someone laying out a life before they were conceived as a serial killer, terrorist, human trafficker, sex addict, drug addict, and believing these crimes were lessons you could improve upon in your next life, as new agers believe reincarnation.

They believe everything is energy and we’re all connected, to rocks and crystals, spirit guides, animal spirits, natural elemental spirits, repetitive numbers, and angels, all here to guide us to our higher self, known as the ‘true self’ connected to God or the universe—a self that has risen above ego.

Moon cycles and planetary retrogrades are viewed as energy that new agers move through to either release negative energy or invite positive energy. It’s also used as an indicator to emotional stressors and shifts in energy.

When it comes to healing trauma, they connect to their inner child, nurture childhood wounds, and identify trauma passed on through ancestral lineage, healed through meditation.

They also don’t believe in sin, or hell. It’s the ego that challenges their spiritual growth and is overcome with Reiki, sound baths, meditations, yoga, binaural beats, card readings where they receive channelled messages from an unknown spirit, believed to be spirit guides or angels. Some even claim to receive messages from the universe, God, or the Holy Spirit. They also use affirmations on self-love and gratitude, guidance from spiritual coaches/teachers, and healers/mediums.

In summary, it’s a culture devoted to co-creating with the universe, believing we are energy living a human experience, receive healing through a variety of modalities, as aforementioned, including psychics, astrology, and numerology, inspiring you to believe you can change the reality of your life through manifestation and visualization, and everyone will go to heaven and be reborn.

It’s a practice that is dangerous and opens the door to demons to play with your thoughts and actions.

New agers believe they are the light and place themselves equal to Christ and do so blindly.

For me, I believed I was spiritually guided due to the signs I saw each day. Even signs in the night sky.

Every evening before I went to bed, I’d give thanks to the universe for the miracles in my life, and all the signs I’d seen that day. It was also a time, where I poured out my heart and manifest a life of joy, love, and happiness.

This one night, I saw a large ball of light flash across the sky. My jaw dropped to the ground. I was awestruck and later learned it was a meteor. The fact I saw it at that moment, to me was a tremendous sign of healing and abundance.

In another incident, I witnessed a ball of light burst in the sky, but it wasn’t a fallen star or meteor. I had no idea what it was.

When I asked my spiritual coach what it meant, she said I received a healing.

Months later, I fell into the dark abyss of my soul, seeing the nightshade of my actions that nearly ripped me apart. Was it a sign of healing? God doesn’t work that way. The only way you’re healed is through His son, Jesus Christ.

What new agers fail to acknowledge, is that God created the universe. The universe has no power or authority over your soul. The question a new ager should be asking, who exactly are you co-creating with?

The other practice a new ager should be warned is cord cutting. I practiced this meditation numerous times to heal myself with food addiction to sugar. The hook is that it worked in healing with some of my addictions to food and online gaming. I’d envision black cords attached to these addictions. Then visualized Archangel Michael take his mighty sword, cut the cords, and one by one fall to the ground. After the meditation, I didn’t think about playing online games or the food. It’s the hook that makes you believe the ritual heals but leads you away from the one and only true healer.

I write this as a testimony to God and pray it reaches the souls of new agers and convicts them to change their ways.

In summary...

  • The wrath of God is real.

  • The devil is real.

  • Being saved through Jesus Christ, is real.

It is written Jesus will return.

When he does, he will judge the living and the dead.

Many believe His return is near.

But He will only see you if you’ve accepted Him as Lord and Savior, worship Him through scriptures and follow His example. Otherwise, He will not know you.

God gave you free will to choose to believe in Him and His Son, or not.

What will you choose?

I’m a mixed blend, excited to share all I offer...

Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?

As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination.

I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal, but I did it! I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or nature available for wall décor.
