The Supremacy of God
The other day as I was driving, I glanced upward and witnessed a swarm of Brown-headed Cowbirds.
I was taken aback as it’s February, a month where most birds in Alberta are south enjoying the sun before they migrate in April. Like Starlings and Grackles, these birds flew in perfect formation, without hesitation or fear, in complete trust, as they danced across the sky. A witness to God’s harmony and perfection. Like musical notes, perfectly placed on a page, creating tones that enlighten the soul.
God’s work is all around you. In the evergreens, a blade of grass, the secret folds of a rose, mountainous vistas, cascading waterfalls, and fields of wildflowers. The very air you breathe is God’s flawless design. He rules over the wind, waves, and your heart.
Many of us are unable to truly grasp God’s supremacy. Even as Christians it’s difficult to comprehend. However, a sister in Christ told me she was kneeling in prayer when she realized she was praying to GOD, creator of heaven and earth, and the universe. This revelation struck her like a thunder bolt. Her eyes awakened as in that moment she felt God’s presence and was awestruck.
Paul explains the supremacy of Christ Jesus in his letter to the Colossians:
Colossians 1:15-17
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
His supremacy is difficult for most earthly minds to grasp; however, God continuously moves to show ways to see Him.
I witness His grace in devotional time when I ask what He’d like to share with me. I write the first thoughts that come to mind. At times, the words come so quickly, I can barely write it fast enough. The words are profound...
Call upon me in all things—ask, and I will answer.
Grow in my Word.
I love you flaws and all.
I know your heart, as I knitted you in your mother’s womb.
Walk with me in the fields of heaven, as I love to hear your voice.
In my blog, Rejoice, God Loves You, I delve deeper into His love, and it’s jaw dropping.
However, the realization of communicating with the creator of all hasn’t completely penetrated my mind. His words are uplifting and give me strength, however, knowing and understanding His true supremacy escapes me.
God is the overseer of everything. He sees the darkness in your heart and the light. He knows your potential and purpose. There is nothing you can hide from Him. However, when you read the words written by Apostle Paul, “for in him all things were created. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together,” it clarifies His purpose, but also raises questions.
Jesus was present in the beginning and willingly sacrificed His supremacy to become one of us so He could walk amongst His people. To teach, guide, heal, and bare the sin of the world so we could be saved.
However, in His supremacy, He could’ve stopped it. He had the power to walk away. He didn’t have to drink the cup of poison, feel the sting of a whip forty times or being spat on and insulted, or the excruciating pain of having metal stakes pierce His hands and feet to a cross where He suffocated slowly and painfully.
To know everything was created in Him and for Him, why would He agree to this?
God could’ve destroyed the earth and started anew. Why would He subject Himself to become a man and suffer the worst death in human history.
Paul further explains:
Colossians 1:19-23
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven having made peace through the blood of His cross.
In Jesus’s death He reconciled you before God so you can appear before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.
It’s in and through Jesus you become united, connected, like the swarm of birds, moving completely in sync. The difference is Jesus is the center. He’s the source you call upon in your despair, hardship and joy. When you keep your eyes, heart and mind on Him, all pieces fall together like a puzzle. Once complete, you understand His purpose for you. It’s when you wonder, events in your life unravel, as in Him, He holds everything together.
Without Him and His sacrifice there would be no open door for redemption.
There’s no other supreme being or higher power that can save you. There is only one God. One creator. One who is supreme.
Many prefer to ignore this truth and choose other ways to save their soul such as spiritual coaches, the universe, crystals, mediums, tarot/oracle cards; however, these methods blind you from the truth that good and evil exist.
The only way you see the light is in the light of Christ Jesus.
He is the supreme authority over heaven and earth.
To understand Him is to know Him through the word and His teachings. He is the giver of life. He paid the price for your sins on the cross. In His blood you are sealed and are His forever.

Confidant.
Healer.
Counselor.
Mentor.
He will help you in ways you’ll never completely understand. Moreover, He’ll never leave you. The only way the connection breaks is by you walking away. Even then He’ll wait for you and find ways to bring you back. He did with me. I walked away and He brought me back. I was a person saturated in new age and didn’t believe in organized religion, and He saved me (my testimony).
Many people are of the opinion that if you believe in Jesus you’re religious. However, Jesus isn’t religious.

If you want to learn about prayer, I created a Prayer Journal titled, “I Am Always With You,” (Matthew 28:29).
Prayer is an important part of growing your relationship in Christ Jesus.
As you grow in your faith, it’s important to dedicate time to be with God in prayer, a quiet space to meet with Him, and invite Him into your daily thoughts. In doing so, you will experience His peace and presence in every aspect of your life.
The journal is in a digital format where you can print numerous copies of each page.
Prayer is powerful, intimate, and personal. It’s also a petition to our Heavenly Father to intercede on behalf of others. Mostly, it’s communicating and expressing with heart felt passion, to a God who sacrificed everything to break the curse of sin that separated you from Him. He desires to hear your words, be in His presence, and learn to love Him more and more.
The Prayer Journals are available as a digital download at my ETSY Store, at Archway Designs by CFC Studios.

Blog-Twisted Roots
Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?
As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination. It also highlights other areas to inspire and encourage Christians in their walk of faith.

Fine Art Photography
I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal. When the opportunity presented itself, I knew it was time to fulfill my dream.
I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or fine art available for wall décor.
