The Unaware Whispers of God
The ebb and flow of life, like a canoe drifting through the calm, then tumultuous rapids, joining another river to reach its final destination.
Life is full of unexpected events you can’t predict. However, with God at the helm, He knows the ebb and flow of your true potential, abilities your mind has buried under false lies and beliefs. You traverse in one direction, then another, like a maze of decisions with variable outcomes. I’m sure as you’ve experienced different events in your life, at some point, you realize why.
I realized this when I held different positions, insurance clerk, receptionist, legal secretary, skills acquired over a duration, never taking the time to understand why, until I was employed as an executive secretary for thirteen years in a municipal office. In this position, everything I learned up until that point was needed. It enabled me to complete tasks and understand them based on these skills.
This is the same with God. He sees your progress. He knows your mistakes. How your experience will lead to greater opportunities to aid others. The problem is being open to receive His guidance.
Most have ears deaf to the word of God. You know who He is. You know His Son, yet you blindly row your boat without giving the creator a second thought. A God who created everything with four words, “Let There Be Light.”
In truth, many hearts are hardened towards God and His Son, Jesus, as you don’t want to conform to the word of being religious. However, following the Son of God, has nothing to do with religion, as religion is designed by man. To be a follower of Jesus, is to invite Him into your heart so your soul can be saved. To study the word and learn who He is and grow to love Him more and more.
You may think you’ll never accept Jesus into your life. I believed the same. I didn’t like organized religion and didn’t want any part in it. I chose a spiritual life without God or Jesus—new age, for six years (my testimony). This journey led me down dark ravines to a point where my only hope was to ask Jesus for help. He saved me. A wretched soul, who turned her back on Him, yet He was there to pick up the pieces and make me whole.
God is always there. He is in the whispers of the wind, moving change in your life, the ebb and flow that will lead you to Him.
When I was in new age my spiritual coach mentioned more than once there was a spiritual movement on the horizon. What she didn’t know, is this movement is the move of God. I’ve heard stories of people reaching a point where they have an instant desire to go to church. In one situation, it was a wife who was involved in new age. She, too, experienced a season of darkness and suddenly felt an urge to go to church—without knowing her spouse felt the very same pull. And today, I heard yet another story: a family member decided to go to church, unaware that other family members were feeling the same prompting in their hearts.
What does this mean?
The ebb and flow of God’s whispers are being heard. He’s ripening His harvest to prepare for times ahead.
You may not hear His whispers, but He is there, laying down the foundation, brick by brick for you to notice. This awareness can happen through words of others, a song, or a gut feeling that it’s time to embrace change.
Few want to admit we’re living in a spiritual warfare and have been since the beginning of our existence. A chess game of good and evil. Most, want to choose good, however, this choice isn’t based on self-gratification and fulfilling your wants and desires. It’s seeking God; to stand still acknowledging you’re created in His image. That the love inside of you is God.
You have the choice to continue following a current that drifts away from Him or live with expectation to hear His voice, as the birthing pains have begun to fulfill scripture. No one knows when, however, you can’t ignore the chaos in the world.
Matthew 24:7-8
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.
Matthew 24:44
“...you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.”
I was struck by the words of veteran, Alec Penstone WW2 Royal Navy, who said:
“I can say in my mind’s eyes. The rows and rows of white stones. All the hundreds of my friends that gave their lives. For what? The country of today, I’m sorry the sacrifice wasn’t worth the result that it is now. What we fought for was our FREEDOM. Even now it’s darn sight worse than it was when I fought for it.”
It’s sad but true; however, it’s written in scripture these events will unfold. It’s also written:
1 Thessalonians 4:17:
"After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord".
This verse has been defined as the ‘rapture’. Words of God the righteous will remain with the Lord.
Depending on your current state this verse bares excitement; however, if you don’t walk with the Lord, these words may seem meaningless.
However, there is hope. God and His angels will surround you with whispers doing their utmost to lead you on a path that will save you. All you need is to open your heart, ears, and listen. To live in expectancy of hearing His whispers. To harvest the heart of your life with God beside you.
God’s love for you is vast. He longs for the separation between you and Him healed so you can walk with Him in the field of lilies, be swooped off your feet, knowing how much He loves you.
Imagine, walking in the field of lilies with Him, how would you feel? What would you say?
As I envision this, all my fears, worries, anxieties, and stress fade, like they never existed. This is the work of God. He wants you to seek Him in everything so He can mend the brokenness in your heart and set your paths straight.
His subtle ways of nudging you towards Him, will remain, as God never gives up. He will wait for you forever.
However, if you’re ready and in need-to-know God’s plan for you, you can connect with Him through prayer.
To grow in faith and build your relationship with God, the answer is prayer. It’s through heartfelt intentions He hears your words, and His whispered response will save you.
I wrote a Prayer Journal to guide you in your spiritual journey. A beautiful tool to express your heartfelt emotions, albeit, joy, sadness, or pain, as God is eager to hear your words and welcome you into His flock.
Each page invites you to share your thoughts, reflect on scripture, and grow your relationship with the Holy Trinity.
The journal is in a digital format where you can print numerous copies of each page. The design is based on a variety of different formats to enhance your relationship and prayer time with Christ Jesus.
Prayer is powerful, intimate, and personal. It’s also a petition to our Heavenly Father to intercede on behalf of others. Mostly, it’s communicating and expressing with heart felt passion, to a God who sacrificed everything to break the curse of sin that separated you from Him. He desires to hear your words, be in His presence, and learn to love Him more and more.
The Prayer Journals are available as a digital download at my ETSY Store, at Archway Designs by CFC Studios.

I pray this journal will be a source of joy, renewal, spiritual growth, as you break down the walls of resistance, and open your heart to hear the whispers of a loving Father.
God Bless,
Hi, I’m Cathy.

I’m a mixed blend, excited to share all I offer...
Blog-Twisted Roots
Do you find yourself asking questions about new age, whether the practices and beliefs are leading your soul to redemption?
As a reformed new ager, I was saturated in the belief I could co-create with the universe and manifest a life of abundance. But I was deceived. This blog is to point you to the truth of God’s words and how He perceives the new age indoctrination. It also highlights other areas to inspire and encourage Christians in their walk of faith.
Prayer Journals
To help you in your journey, I created Prayer Journals, to build a closer bond with Christ Jesus.
As you grow in your faith, it’s important to dedicate time to be with God in prayer, a quiet space to meet with Him, and invite Him into your daily thoughts. In doing so, you will experience His peace and presence in every aspect of your life.
Fine Art Photography
I always dreamed of being a professional photographer when I grew up. It was a journey to reach this goal. When the opportunity presented itself, I knew it was time to fulfill my dream.
I owned a home-based studio for over a decade but have been shooting images for two decades. Now, semi-retired, I have a collection of my most cherished images of landscape or fine art available for wall décor.
