Did you know there were 66 books of the New Testament written over a period of 1,500 years by 40 different authors, 3 different languages and generations.

Some of these writers were Kings, soldiers, prisoners, military men, farmers, shepherds, one was a physician, and another was a tax collector.

As we strive to find joy, happiness, and love in our life, we can subject ourselves to believing in myths such as soul mates and twin souls.

To find a soul mate or twin soul, is a journey many in new age manifest, as it’s believed to be the ultimate connection, where you can feel the physical and emotional pain and joys of your twin or soul mate.

Progress in our evolution was slow up until the discovery of electricity. This creative event took us from horse drawn carriages to landing on the moon, from operator phone connections to mobile phones, and manual typewriters to computers.

Creative inventors have moved us forward with technology, and we’ve evolved on a personal level on what we choose to believe.

Life is a celebration of events and choices. Events that teach us how to grow spiritually and become enlightened.

We serve a purpose in a world of chaos. To stand tall in the Light of Christ. To be planted in the Holy Spirit and view life with open eyes. Not from a place of anger, disappointment, envy, or resentment. But to rise above these challenges and learn how to grow in the seeds of the written word. To embrace the lion of courage, strength, and compassion—always moving forward into the light and away from darkness.

As a reformed new ager, I believed I was doing good. I celebrated the signs I’d see, believing I was guided by the universe and surrounded by angels.

I was so excited to learn more, I signed up for courses on how to connect with archangels and angel, the most powerful being, Archangel Michael. In new age, 13 archangels are recognized to provide spiritual growth and healing.

I believed in these signs, as I witnessed changes in myself. I was happy that with help from books, spiritual coaches, healers, signs from the universe and mother earth, I was making progress, shifting my energy, and growing on a spiritual level.

This is what makes new age easy to be swept away in. Everything appears magical. This amazing awareness your connected to everything, guided by the universe, or spirit guides, or angels. After meditating over a period of six months my dreams became extremely vivid. I began to receive visions when I meditated. A gift known as clairvoyance in new age.

We are the twisted roots of life. Like the rise and fall of tides, our actions determine our beliefs, and our beliefs determine who we are. Beliefs formed from something you were told not to do as a child, or from a spouse, employer, or friend. Beliefs on what spiritual journey to follow.

To question those beliefs can open a door to conflict. But you have a choice to fight for change or remain silent, and follow beliefs taught by others.

However, worrying creates scenarios that aren’t real. An illusion of false emotions that increases stress levels and can cause physical and mental health issues.

There are many ways. For example, you’re running late and waiting in line to get your favorite coffee, as you know without it, you’ll be grumpy. But another customer arrived seconds before you and is ordering coffees for all her co-workers. Anger begins to build as your glare at this person, judging her because you’ll be late for work. Or you’re driving, and someone cuts you off. You curse, road rage takes over as you hunt the person down so you can give them a piece of your mind.

We judge the appearance of others, how they conduct themselves in public or at work, their opinions and social status. It can blind us to perform outside of who are to feel validated and accepted.

We are born to live and experience life in all its glory. Granted, we suffer, as that is how we learn compassion and overcome hurdles and obstacles that fall in our path. But how we choose to overcome these traumas is a spiritual choice. For six years, I chose new age and I’m sharing what new age really is and how this practice compares to scripture.

When I think of summer 2022, all I remember is darkness. It was like I was being guided from some unknown force, repeating the same cycle of self-sabotage, and feeding my addiction to sugar.

I fought the resistance to break away and ignored the tightness in my chest. I felt hopeless, stuck, and full of despair. It was like I had two identities. One desired to be fit and healthy, and the other told myself it was okay to have that fattening drink, or ice cream, or cookie.

In the new age culture, followers believe they can ascend to the level of Christ light or Christ consciousness, placing themselves equal to the light of Christ. They believe he’s an ascended master and compare Jesus as an equal with Buddha, St. Francis, St. Germaine, and even The Mother Mary, to name a few, believing their only role is to increase their spiritual awareness and co-create with the universe.

There are books written where ascended masters live many lifetimes, and with each life spiritually transform. This is the goal of a new ager, to ascend, be a light walker, and Christ like.
