You’re strolling joyfully along the street when you come upon a café and notice a man sitting, dressed in white. The table covered in fine white linen, a fresh assortment of vegetables, fruit, goat cheese and crackers, and a pitcher of sparkling water. There are two place settings of white china, polished cutlery, and water goblets. He invites you to the table so you can dine with Him. Do you stop and join Him, or do you pleasantly say thank you, as you grab a few morsels. Then proceed to grab your iPhone, take pictures with Him to post on social media where you can brag you sat at the table with a man in white. However, the truth is missed, as the man in white, is the Son of God, inviting you to join Him so He can serve you.

We often cling to the predictability of our routines, but the unexpected has a way of turning everything upside down. For one, you’re not prepared. You anticipate your day unfolding in its regular routine, perhaps changed with a luncheon with a friend or a lifestyle occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. However, you don’t expect anything out of the norm to occur.

This blog delves into a scenario that rattles the nerves with a question, how often do you fear the fate of your soul?

To love is to place your trust in another knowing whatever you do won’t change the way your love family perceives you. It’s a comfort that boasts confidence recognizing your value to others. It’s the motivator to believe in who you are.

This is the key...believing in who you are. That you’re lovable. But for some, this is difficult to accept. They run when the words ‘I love you’ are uttered, as they believe they’re unlovable.

To crave, doesn’t happen quickly. It’s cultivated through a repetition of actions you desire to achieve. It’s an expectation formed from the visualization. It’s when things don’t align as expected, you’re in disarray as you come up with a reasonable explanation for rearranging your schedule to satisfy your craving.

New age is the perfect arena for the devil to gather people to devour. To lead you away from our loving creator and His Son Christ Jesus and instill the belief that you control your destiny.

The truth, darkness is real. I experienced it after my brother passed and invited it in as a new ager. The darkness that gripped my soul still lingers, as it erases hope.

Is it a coincidence that many are having visions of Jesus’ return and sharing on social media. I know, many scoff at the idea. Trusting only what they see and choosing alternate methods to elevate their life when in need. However, the signs are evident. What do you believe?

As you read scripture, the Holy Spirit guides you, where certain verses in different seasons of your life have a stronger impact. You may read the same verse more than once, then one day the words resound in your heart. Full awareness of its meaning become apparent. So it was with me when I read Psalm 139.

Too often we place labels on people, unaware of their circumstances, and never think we’re wrong. However, when you share this judgement with another, you plant a seed that leads to deception, as people are attracted to gossip, and won’t question your words.

Gossip destroys connections and relationships. It leaves an imprint and trail of misperceptions. In every instance, seek out the truth and ponder on God’s word before you utter a word about another person.

Mediums and card readers were consistent in providing answers that left me satisfied. It was a resource I used for many years, and, more so, when I became involved in new age. It was less expensive than seeing a professional counsellor and the details were accurate. In truth, it gave me comfort and confidence in the direction of my life.

However, when you look at scripture on mediums and witchcraft, it made me see the truth.

I came across a charming story of a man who daily checked in with Jesus. The reward will make you smile and give you a glimpse of the extent of Jesus’ devotion. When you keep your eyes fixed on Him, He will guide you to where He knows you’ll be forever in bloom. And you’ll never question, worry, or hesitate as the foundation of your faith will keep you moving forward with absolute certainty. You’ll desire the check-ins, as you’ll understand the teachings of Jesus with more clarity.

I invite you to read it and pray the words inspire you.

Many appeal to God when their life is turned upside down. Mostly, when traumatic events occur. However, does He hear your prayer.

Having lived as a Christian for a year now, what I can tell you is that unless you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the likelihood of receiving an answer may not happen. As it’s only through Jesus you reach the Father.

I’ve learned the remedy from fear to trust is through Jesus. He gifts you with His peace so you can stand tall amidst adversity. Fear, sadly, has many faces. From verbal and physical abuse, to feeling abandoned, homeless, and rejected. Each of us has our own story and some have experienced unimaginable events.

This was one of the reasons new age attracted me with its doctrine—that you and only you are in control of your life. The power to manifest the reality you desire. A mindset where there is no obligation, or organized religion. To believe you’re on a spiritual path. However, its roots are grown in selfish ambitions and desires.

In essence, it hardens your heart towards God and His Son, Jesus, as it teaches you to believe you have the power over what happens in your life. It’s a movement that attracts millions of people, as we’re constantly searching to feel fulfilled.

You may not realize the searching of your heart, until the pace of life slows, and then you question where the time went. Everyone can relate to this, especially mothers, when all of sudden your baby is graduating, but you still remember holding your child in your arms as an infant.

I told God, ‘this is no way to live, sinking deeper and deeper into debt to pay our monthly obligations’. It’s then I came across an email from Crosswalk Devotionals. The headline, ‘9 Ways to Really Trust in God’s Provision’ that piqued my interest with hope.

We rely on hope in our daily lives. Hope for a job offer, approval for a loan, a proposal, pregnancy, that the weather will be warm for that special family gathering. Hope you’ll always be provided and cared for.

A friend mentioned a conversation she had with her teenage niece, she said youth blame the baby boomers for the condition of the world today.

It’s easy to blame others, for life events and conditions not being in your favour. Yet, in blaming others, you forget to look at the role you play.

You’re not innocent. Either am I.

We live under the guise of expectations. From parents, to siblings, friends, co-workers, employers, society, and to yourself. You perform as others expect to not rock the boat. The flip side is the focus on yourself. Your needs, wants and desires. But when you catch yourself looking over your shoulder to validate your actions and approval by others, it could be a sign you’re losing the game.
